Online MBA, also known as E-MBA is a Management Course focused around working professionals. The courses are structured to impart management education to professionals aspiring to move to mid level or senior level management. The duration of the course varies from 1 years to 2 years.

Students are required to attend classes at a pre designated learning centers. The classes are conducted real time, using a computer and a high speed broad band internet connection. It requires you to attend 6 hours of class every week and a campus visit for 10 days in a year. Premier institutes like XLRI, IIM offer these courses in association with technology partners viz Reliance, DWGE. The courses fees varies from 1 Lac to 3.5 Lac. Certain corporate have also tied up with institutes to provide such courses at their campuses to help them curb attrition and also enable the ever growing need of mid level management. This trend is expected to soon become more popular as it is a win win situation for all stake holders. As of now such trend is being observed in BPO, IT industry, Retail and other emerging sector where attrition along with shortage of skilled managers is a major problem.
